Start of Daylight Savings

  |   Daylight Savings   |   No comment

When it comes to daylight savings, the start is actually easier to adjust to than the end, which is great! It means warmer weather and walks after dinner. It does also mean that your child’s bedroom may be a lot lighter and noisier at night. If you find this is the case then I would highly recommend investing in some blackout blinds and either a white noise machine or app to help with this.

When moving the clocks forward an hour it will mean that most babies sleep will actually improve, especially if early wake-ups have been an issue. In saying that if you do nothing, you may end up with more of an 8 am/8 pm routine instead of a 7 am/7 pm, which is fine if it works and you don’t mind a later bedtime.

Once the clocks go forward an hour it will mean that a 7 pm bedtime will now be an 8 pm bedtime and possibly at 7 am wake up will become an 8 am.

So if you would like to be proactive get prepared before next weekend.
